Reopening the weblog

After almost a year, I'm slowly trying to recover from the overloaded work schedule and find some time.

My contributor agreement with Apache is still not signed - so soon I may lose the ability to do open source out there. I'm still pushing, and hopefully I'll get it signed. More difficult is getting back into coding - a lot changed, and the slots of free time are vary rare and short - so I need to focus on small areas.

Meanwhile I'm updating my tools - the tiny python tool I use for posting using the mail client is still working ( surprisingly !), however the weblog world looks very different now - with spam in the comments and so many new protocols and tools. I disabled the comments - I'll probably replace them with a mailto URL, and reuse the mail spam filters. My yahoo address is probably in all spam databases, so it can't get much worse.

I learnt so much in the last year - I can't believe how little I knew before :-). Unfortunately I'm also starting to learn more of my limits, and that's a bit depressing.
